鈥淲hile our universities already offer strong student health and wellness services, our renewed emphasis on mental health will further strengthen our campus communities,鈥 said ABOR Chair Cecilia Mata. 鈥淏y adopting a proactive approach that includes data-driven decision-making, cross-state collaboration, and student-centered initiatives, we are committed to ensuring that all students have access to the resources they need to thrive.鈥
While there is a need for mental health services, it is also essential to create campus environments that promote meaningful connections and foster community. 鈥淥ur universities are at the forefront of addressing mental health and recognizing its crucial connection to students' overall well-being and academic success," said ABOR Executive Director Chad Sampson.
The board's action comes after Arizona鈥檚 inclusion in the inaugural Student Mental Health and Wellness Learning Community. The 15-month collaborative project, sponsored by the State Higher Education Executive Officers Association and The Jed Foundation, began in October 2023. 最新麻豆免费看is one of five states participating in this initiative.

Student Regents Zaragoza and Jadyn Fisher will through in-person listening sessions with students and report results to the board, hoping to reach many student organizations in these sessions.
