As the state begins its plans for next year’s budget, the �����鶹��ѿ� outlined its priorities to support college affordability and programs designed to grow jobs and increase wages for families across Arizona.

“This vote is more than a budget request, it affirms our promise to provide opportunities for �����鶹��ѿ�students to earn a degree, have quality teachers in the classroom, more doctors at the clinic, and access to inventions and discoveries that provide solutions to some of the state’s largest challenges,” said ABOR Chair Cecilia Mata. “We look forward to working with the governor and lawmakers to focus state investments on Arizona’s future.”

Budget priorities include:

• Restoring operational funding cut in the FY 25 budget.
• Accelerating new medical schools, allied health programs and medical technology and research with AZ Healthy Tomorrow.
• Renewing investments in job creation, new technologies and research.
• Fully funding scholarships for low-income �����鶹��ѿ�students and our future teachers through the �����鶹��ѿ�Promise Program and the �����鶹��ѿ�Teachers Academy.
• Investing in building repairs and new infrastructure.

The board and universities will work with the Governor’s Office and submit a detailed budget plan by October 1. The plans are used by the ninth floor for consideration as it builds the Governor’s FY 2026 budget proposal.
